About us
My name is Rosalie and I live on the Amster Houseboat with Indy, our cat, and Nala, our Australian Labradoodle. What I love most is hearing from guests how much they appreciate the houseboat lifestyle, the peaceful water, the nearby nature and the lively city of Amsterdam.

• Free private parking is available in front of the garden – you can park from arrival morning until departure evening.
• The garden is shared with other guests and us as hosts – you are very welcome to use it.
• Public transport: the free NDSM ferry takes you to Central Station in 15 minutes. Bus and metro connections are also nearby.
• Bikes can be rented right next to the ferry at www.ndsmbikes.nl.
• There are many nice cafés and restaurants in the neighborhood where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner.
• NDSM area: lively district with restaurants, bars, street art museum, Europe’s largest flea market and festivals.
• Please note: due to stairs, our apartments are not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
How we started
I grew up in this neighbourhood, surrounded by water, and later bought this houseboat from my grandparents. When Covid hit, I stopped running my events company and decided to start something new. Together with my father, who lives just ten houseboats away, I built Amster Houseboat into the B&B it is today. Being on the water has always felt like home, and I love sharing this special place with our guests.

I’m a mother, host of Amster Houseboat, part-time administrator for my partner’s painting company, and currently building a platform dedicated to women’s health in the second half of life.
I love creating, connecting with people and turning ideas into something real and I especially love sharing this little piece of Amsterdam on the water with guests from all over the world.
